Because we operate internationally, it is impossible for us to offer travel insurance, particularly due to the repatriation clause in the event of illness. Insurance in Mauritania is not very reliable, so we request that you purchase the obligatory travel insurance in your country of origin.
At present visa can be made at arrival at the airport of Nouakchott (120, – Euro). To protect of possible modifications, we advise to inform yourself in beforehand at the consular service of any Mauritanian Embassy.
You must only have a record of vaccination against yellow fever if you stay more than two weeks. As for other preventative measures, such as anti-malaria treatments, etc., we recommend that you contact the Foreign Health Service.
Everyone should bring a basic first aid kit with aspirin, band-aids, bandages, antiseptic, antibiotics, diarrhea medicine, a laxative, serum, mosquito repellent, sun cream, etc., as well as any specific medicines for individual specific treatments.
